Delandis Beck - Director of Boys Basketball
Born and raised in Springfield, Illinois, Coach Beck played basketball and football at Springfield Southeast High School. After graduating from high school in 2001 he moved to Champaign, Illinois to attend the University of Illinois. Beck graduated with a Bachelors degree in Sociology from the U of I and a Masters degree in Organizational Leadership from Lincoln Christian University. Delandis currently works full time for the Illini Land Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He’s played basketball his entire life and has been coaching since 2011, both recreational and competitive. Coach Beck is currently the Head Varsity Basketball Coach at Judah Christian School in Champaign.
Coach Beck founded Illinois Basketball Club (IBC) in 2020 with a vision of helping to build the basketball culture in Champaign county and surrounding areas while developing athletes with a holistic approach.
Matt Clark - Coach
Coach Clark grew up in Evansville, Indiana. He has been coaching or playing basketball for 20+ years. Most recently, he has served as the 8th grade boys basketball coach at Mahomet-Seymour Junior High. Prior to that, he was the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and athletic director at Lincoln Christian University.
As a player, Coach Clark played college basketball at Lincoln Christian University where he was a 3 time All-American and National College Player of the Year (NCCAA) his senior year. His number was retired and added to the Hall of Fame in 2005 as he was the all-time leading scorer (2,744 points).
Zachary Davis - Director of Girls Basketball
Born and raised in Peoria, Illinois, graduated from Peoria High School and a member of the 2003-2004 Illinois State Championship boys basketball team. 2011 Alum of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (Go Dawgs!). Davis previously served as an Asst. Coach for Schlarman Jr. High school girls and high school boys programs. He also served as the Head Coach for the Schlarman varsity girls and boys programs. Davis now serves as the Asst. Coach for the Danville Area Community College Men’s basketball program. Aside from coaching, Zach currently serves as a Vermilion County Sheriff's Deputy and has goal to stay connected to the youth and community as much as possible.
Janell Elliott - Coach
A former standout high school basketball player, Janell brings a love for fundamentals and a defensive mindset into her coaching.
Janell is deeply committed to developing her players as both people and athletes. She believes that at this age, who her players are becoming matters more than how they perform on the court. Her goal is to build confident, disciplined young athletes who carry strong character, leadership, and work ethic both on the court and in life. When she isn’t coaching her 5th graders, she’s coaching her own starting five at home.
John Elliott - Coach
John’s calling in life is to help people he believes in maximize their full potential. By day, he does so as a consultant to business leaders through his company, Untapt Consulting. By night and weekend, he does so as a coach to 5th graders through Illinois Basketball Club. And every day, he does so as a father to his five children (with a huge assist from his wife).
Anthony Giboney - Coach
Anthony Giboney is a native of Champaign, Illinois, whose passion for athletic and personal growth has shaped his life and career. A former basketball player, Anthony competed from his youth through high school, where he developed leadership, discipline, and a team-first mindset. After graduation, he attended Parkland College and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois.
Today, Anthony serves with the United States Postal Service and is the founder and owner of ADG Life Coaching, where he empowers individuals to reach their full potential both on and off the court by helping them overcome procrastination, build confidence, and achieve lasting personal growth.
Trent Meacham - Coach
Trent was born and raised in Champaign, IL and went to Jefferson Middle School and Centennial High School. He played college basketball at the University of Dayton his freshman year before transferring home to play at the University of Illinois from 2006-2009. He then played professionally throughout Europe for 9 seasons including multiple seasons in the Euroleague. He was named an all-star in multiple leagues and won multiple championships in Pro A (French top division).
After retiring from playing in 2019, Trent has continued to stay involved with basketball as a youth coach and broadcasting with the Big Ten Network and Fighting Illini Radio.
Trent and his wife, Theresa (a former Miss Basketball in Illinois), have four sons and reside in Champaign.
Pat Miller - Coach
Born and raised in Bloomington, IN, basketball has been a lifelong passion for Coach Miller. He grew up playing the game at every level, competing in AAU and high school before continuing in competitive rec leagues throughout college and into adulthood.
Coach Miller attended Indiana University, where he was a standout athlete on the track & field team, setting the school record in the javelin—an achievement that still stands today.
With over a decade of youth basketball coaching experience, he has worked with programs like the YMCA, Park District, and First String before stepping into a leadership role at St. Matthew. Over the past four years, he has served as the head coach for the St. Matthew Raiders 5th & 6th grade boys teams and as an assistant coach for the 8th grade girls team. Coach Miller will lead the St. Matthew 7th grade boys team going forward.
Passionate about player development, teamwork, and fostering a love for the game, Coach Miller is dedicated to helping young athletes grow both on and off the court.
Ron Rhone - Coach
Ron’s journey in basketball and life is a testament to resilience, passion, and the importance of family. Growing up on the South Side of Chicago, he was immersed in a vibrant basketball culture, learning from the rigorous training of local public league coaches alongside the disciplined techniques of Catholic league mentors. However, the loss of his mother during his sophomore year in high school cast a shadow over his love for the game, causing him to step away from the sport that once brought him joy.
Relocating to Champaign marked a turning point for Ron. It was there that he met his wife, Tori, and began to rebuild his life, reigniting his passion for basketball. With a young family growing around him, Ron found purpose in sharing his love for the game with his children. He has taken on the rewarding role of coach for three of his four kids—his son Torion and daughter Amahri, both of whom he coached in AAU basketball and both of whom played for four years at Champaign Central, and most recently, his youngest son Ron III in various youth leagues and now AAU. Will he coach all four? Roniah, who at six years old appears to have zero interest in playing may be a later bloomer but he's not holding his breath.
In addition to his dedication to family and coaching, Ron is also a successful entrepreneur. As the proud owner of T.R.U.E Plumbing CU, he and his skilled team cater to both residential and commercial plumbing needs, serving the Champaign community with integrity and professionalism. Balancing his roles as a husband, father, coach, and business owner, Ron embodies the spirit of perseverance, highlighting the profound impact of family, community, and the love of the game.
Rashod Seaton - Coach
Coach Seaton is a Chicago area native with 15 years of coaching experience. He graduated from Thornridge High School in 2006, where he had success in baseball and basketball. After attending a few colleges, he eventually landed at Greenville College (now Greenville University), where he played basketball for 3 years, graduated with a degree in secondary education, and began his coaching career as an assistant coach on staff.
Following his time at Greenville College, he was hired at Mt. Vernon Township High School as an ELA teacher and freshman boys basketball coach. He spent 4 years there before landing in Champaign, IL. where he coached boys basketball at Franklin STEAM Academy from 2016-2018 and 2020-2025. In between those years, he was the head varsity boys basketball coach at Uni High. Coach Seaton’s goal and vision is to teach young players to play the game the right way.
Mike Soderlind - Coach
Born and raised in Aurora, Illinois, Coach Soderlind played basketball, football and volleyball at West Aurora high. He was fortunate enough to be coached in basketball by the the hall of fame coach Gordon Kerkman who finished with a 805-313 record for his career. After graduating from high school in 2003, Mike moved to Champaign, Illinois to attend the University of Illinois after receiving an opportunity to walk on to the basketball team from Coach Bill Self.
Mike graduated with a Bachelors degree in Sociology from the U of I. Shortly after, he moved around the country with his wife due to her Army commitments. Eventually, they deciding to come back to the Champaign area to be closer to family and begin one of his own. He’s played basketball his entire life and has been coaching multiple sports since 2018, both recreational and competitive.
Cam Walls - Coach
Born and raised in Aurora, Illinois, Cam is a former collegiate basketball player and current coach dedicated to developing young athletes both on and off the court. He graduated from Decatur LSA in 2018, where he was a three-year varsity starter, earning 2nd Team All-Conference and All-Area Honorable Mention honors.
Coach Walls continued his playing career at Illinois Central College (2018–2020) under Tony Wysinger before transferring to Eureka College. After a season-ending injury, Walls shifted his focus to coaching/training and earned his degree in Sports Management and Business Administration from Columbia Southern University in 2024.
Cam began coaching in 2023 at Franklin Middle School as an assistant coach under Coach Rashod Seaton where he learned a great amount under his leadership and mentorship. Walls is now the 8th Grade Head Boys Basketball Coach at Franklin. Coach Cam also works full-time as the Sports Coordinator for the Champaign Park District.
Israel Wells - Coach
I was born and raised just outside of Champaign IL. I grew up playing and loving basketball which I did in high school for both the Unity Rockets and the Champaign Cyclones. I attended Parkland College where I received my associate degree in Kinesiology. During that time, I also earned a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) license. I then attended the University of Illinois (UIUC) and graduated in 2021 with a bachelors degree in Kinesiology. While I was a student at UIUC, I served as a personal trainer for Parkland College’s athletic clientele. I also participated in a strength and conditioning internship at UIUC with their sports teams. I was accredited as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) in fall 2021. Currently, I train at Parkland college as well as having my own clientele.
